Same thing happens to me. We had a fantastic, full weekend last week, and by the time I sat down at my computer, it seemed like old news

Well, you know that in French a jammed engine is said to have the flu ("un moteur grippé"). This MUST have something to do with the swine flu they're trying to make us panic about (or not panic; I'm not sure any longer). How's that for taking your crappy metaphor even further than you would have thought possible?

I feel the same. It's hard to sit at the computer at times and impossible to capture some events too long after the fact. I love when I do and can go back and re-read what I wrote. But those times are fewer than they used to be.

It'll happen when you're ready. :-)

Count your blessings, you have internet access. How about a view and some insight into some of those Lexington restaurants! Alittle food to go along with the music, please.

I can't wait to read whatever you are cooking up over there :)

The weather here is resolutely crappy, and I am still feeling like you are -- the computer isn't drawing me like it did during the winter, despite the incessant rain and general greyness. Maybe computer activity is mainly a nice winter thing?

I have found it a bit tough to keep up with the blog, but I am determined to keep it going - just because. I can't really articulate why. Facebook is way too much of a distraction, and I have to do something about that.

One thing that I have definitely done is let my blogroll rot. I go through the blogs that I normally follow only about once every ten days (I used to read them daily or every other day...).

I am definitely feeling some sort of a change among the bloggers I know and like, such as you. But I have to say that it was good to read the few posts that you have written lately. I can't believe your daughter is 14! She'll be in and out of college before you know it - which is a tad scary! Oh, and you are really lucky to have great music in the area where you live.
