We are among the lucky in Kentucky. (Excuse me while I giggle for a minute because of the whole "gettin' lucky in Kentucky" thing.)
We haven't lost power, or any tree branches, or anything like that. Yesterday we walked around the neighborhood and took some photos. You can see my photos here; Allan's are here.
Today the street behind us lost power when the crews were clearing trees.
Yes, we're fortunate.

Glad to read that you are OK. Ice storms are devastating, and I feel lucky that, although we did get some ice, it wasn't that awful, and everything turned to snow again for most of the day yesterday.

Us? No longer lucky in Kentucky. ;-) Philly doesn't get much snow. We had our first real snowfall on Tuesday night, and it amounted to all of about 2 inches. Lame.

We just saw Louisville on CNN International and it is completely frozen over!
I'm glad to hear that you're ok and that you still have power. Take care and stay warm. I recommend a nice glass of Minervois red. Or three. :)
Seriously though, we hope things warm up soon.

Good! I bet that trip to the store doesn't seem so silly anymore, huh?

It's after 7:oo PM here, so I'd be inside with a martini and then perhaps getting really lucky in the warmth! One can never be to lucky.

Icestorms, yuk! My Olympia family went through a major one some years back. There was a lot of tree damage, but they fortunately kept their power.
As you probably know, France got hit by a mega-storm last weekend. In my area it was part hurricane, part snow -- so I guess that's a blizzard, right? But we were far from the worst hit.
