Failure

On the days when I’m not wishing I could punch The Internet in the gonads, I end up shedding a tear or two because I feel like a blogging failure.

Heather and I have different ideas of blogging failure, but that sentence of hers makes a nice summary for me.

Why is blogging, which can be so personal, something we have to aspire to? Why can't it just be what it is - a tool that we use. Well?

I love to read, but sometimes I don't read anything but magazines for months. Does that make me a reading failure? Ditto for the cinema, new music, trying new recipes...

Don't be so hard on yourself! And just come back when you feel like it.
