That's what the French call an afternoon snack, but it's also how many hours of sleep I got last night.
I wish I had something compelling to discuss. Like politics and sex scandals, or interactivity in Austin. Sadly, no. I have bikram yoga and my slackerdom.
Yesterday was my first day back after a five-day hiatus. Unless I go to two classes a day for the rest of the week, I won't complete the challenge. I was a little disappointed in myself for not going, but at the same time, I was incredibly sore, and I didn't want to injure myself.
Then we got snowed in, sort of, and yoga was canceled. Then it was the weekend. And we moved the clocks forward. And we had to have coffee with a friend who was in town for the day. You know how it is.
Yesterday afternoon I crashed for two hours, which may explain why I was awake until 1 am. Nothing explains the awake at 5 am part, because no one gets up at 5 am for pleasure. Do people do that? Never mind, I don't want to know.
There's not much else to say. It takes 21 days to make a habit, they say. Today's my 20th yoga class. I think I'll stay committed to it. You know, make it a habit.

I get up anywhere from 4:30 to 5:30 during the work week. I don't have to be at work until 9am, but I like a leisurely breakfast, computer time, and some light chores before I go to the gym and then the office.
I actually like getting up this early --- however it doesn't happen on the weekend.
Go figure.

If you're up at 5am, you might as well get in some yoga to start the day. Is it part of the challenge that you have to attend the class, or can you count personal practice at home?

Oh wow. I wasn't even aware that there really IS a five a.m.
Well not since weekends in my 20's when we used to call that the end of the night.

When I worked, I got up at 5:20 am. And now that I'm happily unemployed, I don't get up till about 7:00. What a nice improvement. I keep saying that I can take a nap, but haven't done so yet, and I left work in November.
Good luck with the yoga.

I think you're doing great with the yoga! It's best not to push so much that you don't enjoy it and quit going completely. No, I don't enjoy getting up at 5!
