Oh Ali, why didn't I read this first?! I would have taken a whole different slant in my e-mail...
I suppose I can offer you a big hug now, and a big happy birthday to your mama--it's better late than never, right?
I didn't realize our parents' birthdays were so close to each other, though why would I, right? My father's birthday is March 5th, 1948, and he would have been 60 this year. It's been 11 1/2 years since he died and it is no easier.
my sympathies to you, Ali, for your mom. i was just thinking of my late dad today, he will have been gone for 16 years this summer. i still miss him all the time, and it really doesn't get any easier.
What a beautiful photo. Thank you for sharing it with us. I hope you're having some happy memories of your beloved mother as well as missing her. ~hugs~
*hug*
Beautiful, dream-like photo. Fraught.

This month, this year, it will be 16 years since my Dad passed. I still can't believe it. I still miss him.

That picture is so incredibly beautiful.
My father will have been gone 13 years next month, too. It's been on my mind constantly lately, as it always is this time of year.
Here's to family.
