I called my kids today. Neither seemed too interested in talking to me, so I asked my son:

"You don't want to talk right now?"

And he said, "No, Mom. I don't have time to talk right now."

There was a football* game happening in the cul-de-sac, see.

Isn't it sad when they start to outgrow us? I feel your pain.

Even at my age and even though I know better, I still do that to my mom when she calls and I'm in the middle of something. Try calling them back later and you will probably get a better reception.
