I am falling apart. I just lost a tiny piece of a filling a few minutes ago. OK, so this particular filling is about 20 years old, but still. Good thing I have to see the dentist again after my root canal next week. (Wednesday morning! 9 o'clock! $825!)
Yeah, I have to see my dentist again after the root canal so that she can put the porcelain crown on. I've been to see her, what, six or seven times this year?

You have a thing for dentists, don't you?

I've never been a big fan of the dentist. I ask for nitrous when I go in for a consult!!

ACK--I feel that way too sometimes. I still have fillings in my mouth that are over 40 years old. However, my grandpa put them in, and not to brag--but he was a very fine dentist.(and he loved me!)

And you thought I was kidding about having your own nitrous tank at home.

$825! Oh my goodness! I guess I've never known the price because my insurance has covered a large portion of my dental work, but doesn't that seem to be a bit much? Geez.

Oy, my dentist got way too much cash out of me this past year. Good luck.

Janet, I don't have insurance. Malheureusement.

I don't have insurance, either, and my last r/c cost more than that.
I used to live on less money than we paid our dentist last year. *sigh*

good thing your blog is written and not a podcast... we would hear way too many sound effects...

Oy!!! If it helps, I'm somewhat in the same boat. Haven't been able to get dental work for a few years. The last year in particular, all the stress apparently, created many wee cavities. I have multiple trips to the dentist still to come. Same as you...root canal, then crown, fixing old fillings, and a couple new fillings. It's all horrid. You have my sympathy.

I have dental insurance. It covers up to $1500 a year and 2 cleanings. That's one small crown and half a filling. Not enough for these old teeth.
