Augh!!! Tack strips!!!
So what's going to happen to the stairs now? Different carpet, or are you redoing the wood?

Ouch! Pink carpet is very cool though. Have you heard of Asbury College? I have a student going there this year; she placed in 301--the highest placement possible for a freshman. I don't know anything about their French program though.

Hey, there is nothing so liberating as deconstruction. That act of tearing up carpet, taking sledgehammers to walls (my personal favorite stress-buster, much to my husband's consternation), steaming off wallpaper...it's an act of taking control, and the first step toward creation. Salut!

Don't stub your toe. Those tack strips look deadly!
Wait... is that hardwood under there?
