Fustercluck
Video sent by AliThinks
We were heading for Trader Joe's, but decided to stop in at The Party Store in Newport. The place was closed because their power was out. And then all hell broke loose.
Edit: I'm going to reiterate a comment I made: The rain wasn't the problem! We were glad to see it after so many weeks of drought.
No, it was the traffic and the blown out stoplights and the other people not knowing how to drive...

"I have no idea how close I am to my face"
Classic.

Hey Alison,
It doesn't look that rainy to me. You should come and see bad weather over here in Norway some time. It makes normal rain look like sunshine (yeah, we just had our first day of winter.). Anyway, cool video. You were close to your face.

Those windshield wipers look funky. Too bad about the weather hell. We have rain coming in right now too. Bah.

*pussy - pussies* three or four inches of rain per hour can make life interesting... tiny Cincinnati storm- gets some attention- when are you and Allen coming down south??? You guys need a REAL NOLA thunderstorm- After the root canal therapy? Gosh, after this video, we really need to talk!! *big smile*

Allan is a glass half full kinda guy, idn't he? (yes, that was supposed to be a 'd')
I remember driving through a rainstorm once and I was so scared I just screamed while I drove through it. It was actually a nice stress reliever.

So that's what Allan sounds like.....

CEO: Totally not. Allan's voice is so much deeper. He was just playing along with me.

Is that the new car?
Posted by: Karan | September 28, 2007 at 18:50
Um...are you using an unearthed relic of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (may you be touched) as your windshield wiper? Or was that an artifact of the camera phone?
I have no idea how close I am to your face.

You want rain? We GOT rain. In the Pacific Northwest of CA we won't see the sun again very soon. It may be April before the sun drops in. I guess that is why our coastal redwoods are so tall and everything is so green compared to most of California. Washington state might not be the place for you and Alan (Going on Alans' Flickr quote). They have it far worse and more.
Is that the new car? If so, very nice.
PS - It was full of face.
Take care,
Chris

Aren't cell phones so fun. It's nice to see Allan! Even though the traffic was bad and it was raining, you two seem like you enjoy each other's company no matter what. You're blessed.

So was it kinda like this, only with rain and not in India? :)

Next time you come up here, you need to call me!! We should go out for dinner. Or maybe just lots of food shopping :-)

It's like when it snows in France...no one knows how to drive then.

LOL This so reminds me of driving ANYWHERE with my mother. She'd be bitching and I'd be all "but look on the bright side" lol
Clusterfuck is right it sounds like. I hate it when stuff like that happens and you end up spending so many hours in the car, your butt goes numb. That's my irritation point. Numb butt is no fun.
