Here's a link to the meme I stole from Vivi at Dispatches from France.

I have picked up a Southern accent and finally ditched my Midwestern words (like pop instead of soda).
The word that I've always hated is agenda. It sounds like vagina to me. I don't know why. My mother used to ask me, "What's on your agenda this weekend?" It made me squirm.

you are such a dear! i LOVED this. i don't have a webcam, but i'd like to do this someday, too. it was SOOO nice to hear your voice and see your lovely face. you do a very good job of not dropping t's and other things we people from pittsburgh often do when speaking...i think it's lazyspeak, pittsburgese.
i heard the kitty jumping around! go jones!
anyway, this made me feel like i KNOW you in person now...not just thru RP or a blog or e-mails. it made me feel very warm.
i can't remember your first question, but the second & third questions: i always mispronounce bougainvillea. (i may have even misspelled it!) and i hate the word vomit.

oh...i'm a born mimic. so, i guess i have a typical eastern american accent, but i can pick up the buffalo accent, minnesota accent, boston accent, or southern accent anytime i am around someone of those accents. i don't mean to, it just happens.

at night, you blog. hee hee.
na-unsa ka oi? tulog na ba.
staff? really? i was thinking "staph" when you said it... you know, the bacteria? and i could only imagine that CL was obsessive-compulsive about bacteria in the house or something, or that you had an infection. haha! i was shocked when the truth was revealed that the word you dislike is "staff"!

I have no accent. I go out of my way to mispronounce epitome, calling it epi-tomb. I loath the word diet, I wish I knew what the word "lurve" meant. I threw in a little bonus for you.

Lovely to see you! And I'm glad you didn't mean "staff" as in the infection sense of the word, which is where I thought you were going. That's a hateful condition and could certainly lead to a hate of the word itself.
Make the kitty take a bow on camera next time.

I was totally thinking "staph" like the bacteria too. The other two never even crossed my mind!

You made me laugh! I hope you don't mind if I laughed a little?
Facimilie (sp) took me forever to learn.
I hate the word "hate"
I have an accent to yankees. People that know me anyways.
And I loved splainin N/A to my boss!
*hugs*

Good to see you! Sounds like to me that you have a standard American accent. I think moist is a weird word too!! ha!
