What, you ask?
This. A month later, this happened. The rest of the stuff? I haven't documented. Not long after I started wearing a nose bone, the inside of my nostril got inflamed. I put the nose screw I got in Brussels back in, and wore that until about two weeks ago.
In Philadelphia, I bought some other nose screws, smaller ones than what I'd been wearing. When I tried to get one of them in, I couldn't. I couldn't even get the Brussels screw back in. So in order to keep the piercing open, I stuck the nose bone in. I thought I'd wait a few days, then try again.
Yesterday I woke up to an inflamed, infected nostril. The nose bone was being pushed out. I had to put a screw in there. And when I tried, when Allan tried, it just wasn't happening. The hole had closed up on the inside.
So I decided to let it go. Maybe I'll get my nose pierced again sometime. Or probably not — I'll likely get another hole in my ear, or another tattoo — because, really, I like picking my nose too much. And piercings just get in the way of that.

I tried to have an extra hole in one of my ear lobes at one point. It never healed properly and eventually I gave up on it. Some things are not meant to be, I guess.

Ashley has a nose stud and has never complained about it. But she does have a larger nose than you. (but don't tell her I said that)She's a beautiful girl, but neither one of our daughters has a small nose.

My experiment with a belly button ring in college was short (like, 24 hours before my body said "NO"). I never thought about getting a nose ring, though. Hm...maybe. You crack me up about the nose picking. Sometimes you just NEED to clean it, right? lol

I had a hard time reading that without feeling pain. Can't you do something milder next time, like buy yourself some new shoes like other women?

Three cheers for nose picking! *giggle*

My nails make picking a breeze. They make typing and buttoning my jeans a chore. Priorities.

I took my stud out once to blow my nose and didn't realize until it was too late that I'd accidentally thrown it in the trash with the wadded-up tissue. The hole closed up before I could replace it. Like you said, it was fun while it lasted, and I think the little puncture scar is kind of cute too.

Oooh, I didn't realize that those pretty nose studs could get in the way of, of, well you know, picking.

i like the way they look, but i don't think i could do the nose piercing. i have 2 holes in my left ear. once, i had 3 but it never healed correctly and closed up.
i have 4 tattoos. i'd like to get rid of 3 of them. i never thought i'd say that, but its true. the one like the most is the first one i got, on my outside right ankle.
now, i just color my hair. :)

Just so long as you don't get cranium implants to allow the attachment of spikes, horns, or other objects.
Yes, my mind went there too and yes, you would be a dick-head.

I just recently removed the barbell from my navel.. I got it in 2000 for my 30th birthday as kind of a ritual. I loved it, but it did get irritated off and on. Gaining 10 lbs didn't help it at all and fat rolls are not kind to the navel rings. After another painful irritated week, I just decided to take it out. I was sad after I did, but it nice to not be constantly adjusting my pants when I sit down. I get a tattoo next week, so that will replace it and I can still be a little bit of a rebel! ;)

Belly dancing is ALWAYS in fashion and you don't have to pierce anything!

I'm sorry your nose unplugged itself.

Hmmm..... tattoo?
I am glad you posted about picking one's nose. I was just thinking about a similar post!
Is the Cat named yet?

Facial piercings - could never do that. Now, your story convinced me that I should not anyway. I'd love to get another ear piercing, but may not after reading 2 or 3 comments about poor healing and failure on that front.
Tattoo? Still considering it, but my daughter won't let me.
Well, at least, now the nose-picking can resume again.

I love my nose piercing. When mine closed up (following my apparent ripping it out in my sleep!), I waited to necessary time and was right back in the piercer's chair. I'd feel strange without a piercing in my nose anymore. It's just ME. :)
I want more piercings, but I worry about infection - my navel piercing was a disaster (let me just say plasma leaking is NOT sexy!).
Perhaps more tats. Any good ideas for new tats? ;)
