And, wow, I'm tired.
There's a free Of Montreal concert on the UK campus RIGHT NOW, but we are here at home. It's rainy out there. Dark, too. Perfect for curling up in bed with a book.
...
Does this mean I'm getting old?

Yup. I am staying at home knitting tonight. Sigh.

I hope it doesn't mean you're getting old, because if so, it would mean I am as well!

Ali,
Too soon old.
Too late smart. ;-)

Evenings like that are oppotunities. You could plot the killer exercise/food blog, designed a gazebbo for the back yard including a built-in Viking grilling area, and perhaps the overthrow of a small South American country. All you need is a small spread sheet.

Maybe just lazy?

Nah, we do things like that all the time. Home is a good place to be.

I think I would be at the Of Montreal concert. Great band, by the way.

oooh, lemme know how it is! I love Zadie Smith. Did you read White Teeth??

It was a dark, and rainy night...just the kind I don't like to go out in. Bed and a good book are much more tempting.

No, getting old is when you actually GO TO SLEEP at eight o'clock. (which I've done a couple of times this year)

I hope not. If so I'm aged.
Let me know how you like the book. I own White Teeth but haven't read it yet.

Of Montreal is awesome. I'd love to see them sometime. But I can definitely dig the appeal of a rainy night read.

I am not sure why Typepad is being b*tchy, but it is. This is my THIRD attempt to comment on this post.
I am all for evenings in and in fact went to bed at four yesterday afternoon, woke at midnight, ate something, and went back to bed at three this morning until nine. I am discovering that partying too hard and feeling it the next day (as I did Friday evening, unfortunately) is NOT fun anymore... Here's for many more evenings in!
