Tomorrow at this time I'll have my ass parked on our new couch. We're picking it up in the morning. I can't wait to see how the thing looks in here.
Note to couch buyers out there: purchase your furniture from a store that delivers.
I seem to have lost all ability to think this evening. This could be due to the fact that I surely breathed in some lead paint dust earlier. I broke down and sanded the rest of that paint off of The Project, and boy! was it fun to wield that new Black & Decker sander.
In reality I think it's because I have actually been active this week. Okay, so there was some jet lag involved, but there were also activities. There was me, using my noggin. There was cold, rainy weather. There was champagne and sushi for dinner.
So it's Friday evening. I'm tarred tired. What's happening with you?

Du champagne? On celebre chez vous? Make sure to take lots of photos of the new couch!

Enjoy the new couch. They will take the old couch with them, won't they?

I can't wait to see a picture of your new couch! I, too, had planned on purchasing a new one this summer, but instead I opted to spend my money on a brand new Citroën C5 station wagon!

Which means that for the moment, I'll be putting that couch purchase on hold...

Champagne and sushi - I like my sushi well done.
I can't wait to see the project in it's final state.
Have a great weekend.

I hope that your ass found its way to the new sofa for a test drive of it. We got a new sofa last weekend for the downstairs and I have yet to park on it. Really its on my list of things to do this weekend - test drive new sofa.
Friday night I went to a wine and appetizer party at a womans house from my mom's group. It was my first time meeting this particular mom but had a great time. Next time I'll ask you for wine and appetizer advice. I went to the wine store and asked them for a suggestion. I came home with two bottles of wine - a chiraz and a chardonnay and went to work on the internet and found some recipies. I made cheesy artichoke cups in a mini torte pan that were an absolute hit. (They were shaped as hearts, and wayyy fancy but tasted better than they looked.) I also made some french bread and a dip for it. :) I just used all the pampered chef stuff I've bought over the years.
Hope you have a great weekend. :)

The sofa is here. We are relaxing on it right now.
It is beautiful, and very comfy.
Pictures are forthcoming.

I kept reading about everyone's sushi eating, so I had to take myself out with the baby and get some myself. Best thing I've done all week. Can't wait to see the new couch.

I was tarred yesterday too and went to bed at 9 pm. Had a delicious eggplant and falafel wrap for lunch today. Spent a somewhat tedious afternoon hanging out with a friend of my husband's, who just might be the Most Negative Being on the Planet - or, at the very least, a Major Hypochonriac. And have just now cracked open a beer in celebratory solitude (my husband is driving him home). Ahhh... :)
