Guess what? I'm going to the dentist in a few minutes! Yay! It's time for a checkup and cleaning, but mostly time for a cleaning.
You see, French dentists just don't do that "polishing paste in the spinning rubber cup" thing. If you have bad tartar (which I don't), they'll use ultrasound to get it off your teeth. Otherwise, nothing.
So basically, I haven't had my teeth cleaned in about 14 years. And you know, they're not all that yellow, so I'm wondering what they're going to look like when it's all said and done.

You are the first person I know who has looked forward to going to the dentist! I now believe that if you live long enough, you can see almost everything. Thank you for this.

OMG DON'T even TALK to me about the dentist today! Didja read my awful experiences the other day? On the bright side, just be glad you don't go to my dentist!

Oh, and I gotta give you credit for your extreme bravery. You live with a dentist and you wrote that out loud. Woo hoo!

Ooohh. Going to the dentist is "torcher".
Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

You sound as excited as Marsha Brady about going to the dentist.
Is his name Dr. Vogel, by any chance?

People don't get it when I tell them I wish I could afford to go to the dentist. They recoil, "Ew! Why would you want to do that?"
Cos I'd like to get my teeth really, really cleaned, thank you.
Hope you get a good report.

They will look and feel terrific. Mine always do after a good cleaning.

I know, I know. I tried to go to the dentist in france to get my teeth cleaned, and he was like..."what for?", but I think that when I am in the usa, I am going to try and find some sort of cheap, but clean looking clinic, just to get my teeth cleaned. I haven't been cleaned like that in over 15 years. ça me donne envie!

SO, how did it go????
Posted by: cmhl | March 23, 2006 at 20:19
cmhl, it went fine. I do have to go back Monday to have a filling repaired. And unless the x-rays show something bad, everything is A-OK.
Just one more thing: floss, people, floss. It makes a big difference. :)

Just wanted to stop by and slap sallyrogers, but also to agree about the flossing. You know when I do it. Every day.
