- when the girls come to school baring lots more skin than before.

- Speaking of hair, when one of your 9th graders starts trimming her split ends in the middle of your lesson.
- when the kids move their desks a few inches closer to the window.
- when even "fun" lessons using Calvin and Hobbes comics don't grab the kids' attention.
- when you start counting the remaining weeks of class.

Weeks? Days and hours more like, if only it weren't so depressing. Although I do love the little blighters really (nice kids, clever to boot) enough already for this year, and I've only been teaching then (part-time) since January.
